Studio assistant Nicholas Crombach is doing a one year residency in London, England at The Florence Trust (http://www.florencetrust.org/) He has returned home for the holidays and graced us with a visit and to catch us up with all his exciting news from across the pond.
The studio conducted an in service first aid course that was attended by 16 staff & members and delivered by St. John’s Ambulance. It was a full day course, with a lot of important information to absorb. I am pleased to report that all participants passed.
After our open house the studio segued into its annual holiday party. It was a lively upbeat affair with an abundance of good food and good cheer.
The open house On December 10, 2016 was an unmitigated success. There was a steady flow of people through the studio over the course of the afternoon. Visitors welcomed the opportunity to see how the works are created, and they gained a greater appreciation of all the effort it takes to bring a sculpture from its inception to completion. A good time was had by all.
Studio member Irene was fortunate to attend this years fair and is sharing some of her favourite picks from the show
